STAGE V 

Bulterys now rents the new STAGE V generators, in addition to its existing rental range.

Stage V (or S5) is the last EU emissions standard for Non-Road Mobile Machinery (NRMM)

It’s an evolution of previous standards and requires controls, e.g. diesel particulate filters, to be applied to new NRMM. Stage V will limit carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons, as well as the mass of particulate matter (diesel soot) and number of particles emitted to the atmosphere.

The least polluting gensets on the market

At Bulterys, our new “green” gensets with white and blue canopies are “environmentally-friendly”, meaning that they are all equipped with diesel engines that meet the EU Stage V exhaust gas emission standards; this makes them the less polluting engines on the market today, in addition to being all certified for renewable fuels such as HVO use.

These are compact generator sets that integrate all emission reduction systems and AdBlue’s tank. In order to reduce noise emissions even further, our new generators incorporate a special insulation.

HVO

Hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) is a biobased paraffinic liquid fuel derived from several types of vegetable oils, such as rapeseed, sunflower, soybean and palm oil, as well as animal fats.

It can be used in conventional diesel engines under certain conditions, either pure or blended with fossil diesel (petrodiesel).

HVO is often confused with FAME*-based biodiesel, but an important difference is that HVO is actually a fully renewable diesel, rather than a first-generation biodiesel.

HVO does not contain the harmful components of fossil diesel (such as aromatics) and is made from 100% renewable raw materials instead of crude oil.

FAME stands for Fatty Acid Methyl Ester.

This biodiesel is produced using a chemical process based on vegetable and animal oils (Tallow Oil) and used cooking oil (UCO).
